   listen

Welcome to NEC

Sunday service is held at 10:00 a.m.
Now being held at Horace Mann Middle School

It’s an exciting time to check us out! Visit our Countdown to Downtown page to hear all about our new building that is under construction. It’s located at the former site of Ficco’s Bowl-a-dome at 300 East Central Street.

While we wait for construction to be completed, please join us on Sundays at 10 a.m. at Horace Mann Middle School (Oak Street, Franklin) Interesting fact: When NEC began 20 years ago, we hosted services at Horace Mann!

We want your experience, from the moment you enter the parking lot to the time you drive away to be a positive and welcoming one.  To that end, here are a few things you can expect on a Sunday morning:

Parking Team: Our hospitality begins before you even enter the building. Our Parking Team braves all sorts of weather to make sure the parking lot is a safe and stress-free zone. If you have a special need, please let one of the people in the yellow vest know and they will assist you.

Guest Services: As you enter the front doors, you will be greeted by a member of the Greeting Team. They are more than just a smiling face, however. They can help with any information that you need, from the location of the restrooms, to directions to Kids Zone to the weekly bulletin.

Kids Zone: Located in the cafeteria, we have a fun and safe space for kids to get to know their Heavenly Father through activities and storytelling. Big Kids Zone (K-5th grade) will be located on your left as you walk in. Little Kids Zone (toddler-preschooler) is down the hall across from the auditorium. If you need help, please stop by the Kids Zone host desk in the front entrance area.  For more information on Kids Zone, click here.

Sunday Experience: There is a timely and meaningful message, as well as engaging music and videos. Our music and related content comes from  a variety of secular and christian sources, and reflects traditional as well as contemporary styles. We celebrate communion on a monthly basis and baptism six times per year.

Prayer:  We have several opportunities for prayer. In addition to prayers offered during the Sunday experience, we have a Prayer Table in the back of the sanctuary where several volunteers are available to pray with and for you. There is also a bowl in the main hallway where you can leave an anonymous prayer request.  For more information on Prayer at NEC visit the prayer page.

Getting to Know NEC: If you would like more information, or have questions, check out Getting to Know NEC. Held quarterly, these session go into greater detail about how NEC started as well as our ongoing mission and vision. There is a time for Q&A following each Getting to Know NEC session, to help you decide if NEC is a good fit for you. For more information, contact Karen Tegelaar.

Next Steps: Find out more about volunteer opportunities and various ways to connect at NEC by stopping by the Next Steps kiosk located outside of the auditorium.
