Franklin Food PantryIn our partnership with the Food Pantry, NEC regular needs volunteers to pick up Panera Bread on Monday nights to deliver to the pantry on Tuesday mornings; to organize food and stock shelves; to assist with special projects; and to organize local food drives.
Current needs : Canned vegetables, soups, pastas; dried pasta and rice dishes; canned tuna and chicken; baking mixes. -Can be left in metal carts near Pantry table in the cafe.
*To help the more than 1,100 individuals seeking food assistance from the Franklin Food Pantry, the Pantry is partnering with the Franklin High School Empty Bowls Club in the 4th Annual Empty Bowls Dinner on May 2, from 6 – 8 p.m. at Franklin High School. This organization brings a network of community volunteers together to help people in crisis with free, temporary, non-medical assistance.
