Space is limited for each project so register early!  Kids are welcome to participate with a parent, see age guidelines for each project.

  • Gardening, YMCA Community Garden, Bellingham:  (PROJECT IS FULL!) Help the Y with their Healthy Living initiative by weeding rows of vegetables in the Community Garden in Bellingham. (11 and older with parent)
  • High School, Bellingham:  Help paint the new Hall of Fame which will be opening in November (11 and older with parent)
  • Softball fields, Bellingham: Help install 50 irrigation system heads, paint second coat on building, cut back brush around fields, weed-wach, mulch the fields. (11 and older with parent)
  • Windows at Bellingham Library: Help wash windows (11 and older with parent)
  • Creating caring gifts @ NEC: If going out to a site isn't an option for you, stay at NEC and create gifts for our care ministry. (All ages welcome, kids under 10 with parent)
  • NEC West Clean-Up (for Uxbridge area NEC-ers only): If you live in the Whitinsville/Uxbridge area, come help us clear, clean, and paint our meeting space to make way for our upcoming services.  
  • Cleaning out storage @ NEC: Help clean out our attic and trailers in preparation for our move (14 and older)
  • Franklin Food Pantry, Franklin: (PROJECT IS FULL!)  Organize, date-check for expiration, and sort/move food to storage. (11 and older with parent)  
  • Meals, Franklin: (PROJECT IS FULL!) Prepare freezer meals for those in need.  
  • Community beautification: (PROJECT IS FULL!) Clean up local parks and areas needing some TLC.  (11 and older with parent)
  • BBQ Team @NEC: Help set up, prepare and serve lunch to all! (11 and older with parent)
  • Utility Shed Building, YMCA Community Garden, Bellingham: (PROJECT IS FULL!)  Help complete the siding on new utility shed NEC volunteers built earlier this summer. Basic carpentry skills needed.  (14 and older with parent)  
*Please note that participants will provide their own transportation to and from the project sites.
